Idhammar’s CMMS in action in Utilities and Facilities

Environment Agency

The control of flooding is one of the Environment Agency’s most important responsibilities, and when it comes to maintaining mission critical machinery there is no margin for error. That’s why The Environment Agency chose the Idhammar CMMS for the Thames Barrier and Associated Gates.

CFL Wind Power Education

CFL, the Centre for Flexible Learning, in Söderhamn and Gotland University jointly operate training in wind energy at university level. The programme teaches students to project and plan for wind power and CFL has chosen to implement the part of the training covering maintenance and parts supply with Idhammar Systems.  Students acquire a general knowledge of maintenance procedures whilst being trained in the proficient use of a market-leading CMMS – the Idhammar Maintenance Management System.

Uni-Mar uses the API PRO CMMS supported by Idhammar Systems in Sweden in order to support the engineering team and gain greater control of preventive maintenance at its power station.  Idhammar’s Swedish consultants also provide comprehensive technical assistance to the 480MW CCGT Marmara power station located in Marmara-Ereglisi, Turkey.

At VVBGC (Växjö Värnamo Biomass Gasification Centre), a IGCC concept has been developed to demonstrate power generation using fossil fuels as feedstock. The main features include the possibility of cleaning the gas (from impurities) under pressure, before the gas enters the combustion section of the gas turbine – resulting in relatively high electrical efficiency. Reliable and preventive maintenance is crucial to the plant and the Idhammar CMMS supports engineers to achieve the highest standards of maintenance.

Den Norske Opera

Den Norske Opera in Oslo is the largest stage for music, theatre and dance in Norway and represents more than 50 trade professions. To ensure high class performance from the opening note in 2008, the Idhammar CMMS was installed during the build phase of the Opera house, which the architect planned as a rationally designed and flexibly functioning ’factory’. One of three ’Eco-Cutlure’ EU projects, the ’factory’ is built to be energy-efficient, and the Idhammar MMS helps to optimise asset performance in line with this policy. The site also uses Idhammar Mobile Maintenance in order to assist the mobile users as they monitor all 38,500m2 of the factory floor.
