Thames Barrier go live with Idhammar’s MMS

The Thames Barrier is one of the largest movable flood barriers in the world. The Environment Agency runs and maintains the Thames Barrier as well as London’s other flood defences, ensuring the security of the City of London during tidal surges.

Using Idhammar’s MMS software the maintenance of the Barrier and associated gates is managed by the Environment Agency. The system was first installed in 2003, replacing the COMAC Delta system and has recently been upgraded to Idhammar MMS v 11.

Because of it’s high level of criticality, the software is installed under rigorous security controls and the deployment of the latest version of the software has been subject to stringent testing.

Idhammar MMS remains in use throughout other departments within the Environment Agency.

Tractor factory hits high efficiency with Idhammar’s OEE

The Case New Holland tractor factory in Basildon is celebrating 50 years of production this year.  2014 also marks the completion of Idhammar’s OEE installation at the site.

Manufacturing at the site is characterised by high efficiency and quality.  The site produces more than 100 agricultural tractors each day and OEE is consistently high.  The production team are expecting to make efficiency savings amounting to only a few minutes each day and this can only be achieved by automated data capture coupled to advanced communications, reporting and alerts.
